Reflective vinyl letters adhere well to most clean, smooth, non-porous surfaces, including painted metal, aluminum panels, glass, acrylic, PVC, sealed wood, trailers, service vehicles, and equipment panels. It is a strong fit when the lettering needs to stay readable in low light without adding a bulky sign or separate lighting.
For the best installation, apply reflective lettering to a clean, dry surface. Premium reflective vinyl can also perform well on gently curved surfaces and some riveted panels, but very small lettering and fine details may need to be enlarged so the material can be cut cleanly.
High Visibility Without Built-In Lighting
Reflective lettering does not glow or light up on its own. It reflects light back toward the source, similar to traffic signs and emergency vehicle markings, making it easier to spot when headlights, flashlights, or work lights shine on it.
White reflective vinyl has a silvery appearance because of the reflective layer, so it will not look like standard non-reflective white vinyl. That tradeoff is what gives reflective lettering its nighttime visibility and makes it useful for fleet markings, address numbers, warning labels, parking signs, and other messages that need attention after dark.

How reflective is the reflective vinyl?
The reflective vinyls are made to be highly visible at night when lights shine on them but are not made to light up like a bicycle reflector. It's the same reflective vinyl used on emergency vehicles.

Does the white reflective vinyl have a silvery color?
Yes, all the reflective vinyls have a metallic layer that gives it it's reflectivity. This makes the white reflective vinyl have a silvery look to it and it's not a pure white like the non-reflective vinyls.

Most orders designed online are produced and shipped within one business day. Same day production is available on most orders placed before 2:30pm EST.
