Super easy to apply. I think the process has improved from the last time we put lettering on - that was several years ago! We are cruising in the Philippines so I thought with the heat, it would be harder to apply but it wasn't. Tip: I had some lettering that was a couple years old & some brand new lettering. Due to the older stuff being in the tropics, it was much harder to put on compared to the new lettering. So worth it it keep your lettering brand new for easy application. Highly recommend using DIY lettering & the customer service is excellent! Thanks DIY -

This is a great source for anyones boat or vehicle lettering needs! I like the way you can set up the fonts, colors, shadows, size, etc. and then save as a transparent gif to overlay a "mock-up" onto an existing image/document.

Well, She has a name. Thanks to the folks at Do It Yourself Lettering. I was all prepared to paint it on. Ran across http://DIY Lettering/ . About 28 bucks including shipping!! Easy setup on their site and they shipped in about a day. Looks great and easy to apply. If you need lettering for anything look up their site.

Lettering went on well, and looks great. Just what I was looking for.

Overall it was fairly easy to install but you only have one shot at it so there's not trial and error. Once the lettering sticks there is no trying to pull it off and preposition it. If you happen to have a long name or hailing port like we did I would partially cut up in-between the words to try and separate the backing from the entire piece so that it makes the installation easier. I didn't think about this until after I had it installed. It would still keep the proper spacing and alignment with the length of your lettering but it would allow you to apply each individual word at one time instead of the whole length of the hailing port at once. Also there is not an application tool included and I used a large plastic putty knife but it was a little too hard so next time I would make sure to get something that was a lot softer. The actual lettering is quite thin and fragile. The edges on the putty knife did scratch the lettering and I had to go back over it in some places with a black sharpie to cover up the scratches. I almost feel like after installing it that it needs some kind of sealant or clear coat over it to protect it a little more from scratching. I just ran my hand over the lettering after it was on and my wedding band left scratches in the lettering that would not rub out. I worry that if a light pass over it with my hand will do that what are the elements and occasional bumping and rubbing up against it going to do? I guess we will see how it wears.

Everything was as advertised. One order was not received. Customer service could not have been better and it was replaced immediately. Application of letters was easy and they looked great. Have not completed boat yet but will send pictures when it is done. On a test fit they are perfect. I was able to use the online ordering process and get exactly what I wanted.
