It turned out beautiful! It took 3 of us because the area where we placed the lettering is slightly rounded and we wanted to ensure that there were no creases. We have had strangers pass our slip and comment - "Love the name and the lettering!" or "Great name, did y'all apply that yourselves or did you have someone do it?"

We purchased the thicker grade of lettering for a 43" wide name. The surface was freshly painted. The 'hinge' approach worked well. No problem for two people smoothing the letters and they adhered immediatly to the transom..

The printing was done 100% correctly each time I've utilized their service. Turn around time was fantastic. I highly recommend DYI Lettering.

I found that with a decal this large it worked best with 3 people. One squeegee-er and two people to hold the decal off the boat while the squeegee-er works along it and applies it to the boat. Proper initial line up is essential. It's also critical to keep the boat and decal very wet, as the adhesive is very retentive. I screwed up my first attempt and was immediately sent a replacement. My mistake the first time was not keeping everything wet enough. The second attempt went smoothly and the decal looks great.
